A new post every 8 months…is that bad?

Pathetic. I was going to start blogging, blogging, blogging away… and how well did I do? I blogged…once. Since March! Terrible.

But today is a new day! Did you all hear that I am in training for the Turkey Trot? My dear friend Miss Anne told me that she recently read an article that states that excercize actually helps to build new brain cells–boy could I use those! I have decided that all my new brain cells will be my blogging brain cells–see how much you all mean to me? I am saving all those fresh, new brain cells just for you!

Now this is a knitting website, so it wouldn’t be right for me not to at least talk a little about knitting, so I will share with you what I am wearing to the Turkey Trot…

…a newly-knitted…Turkey Hat!!!

That’s right, I actually knit myself a hat that looks just like the bird that will be on your Thanksgiving table, complete with a pair of drummies sticking out the sides!

Grandma Helen borrowed the hat yesterday to wear to the nursing home, and I have already heard through the grapevine that she was the talk of the bar at the Eden Legion Post!

Let me know if you would like a copy of the pattern–I would be more than happy to share the shame, I mean fame!

Erin, I am not a blogger but if I manage to figure out how to send this I wanted to tell you I always enjoy your “ramblings” and I loved Ewe night this month. I learned so much and will finally sew together some squares I took from the shop and have tried many times to assemble. One problem is that they are all different sizes but if I conquer that I will use one of the techniques you showed and will present you with a completed blanket. Have a wonderful Christmas! I plan to stop in before I leave for FL on Dec. 31st to make sure I have enough yarn for 2 months. Doris

Erin, I never have participated in a blog before, this is my first time. I just got your EWEsletter and decided to check this blog out. Great job, hope you keep it up. See you soon! Denise Walters

PS Thanks again for the pattern and yarn, what a treat.
